Meet the Director

Mr. Uket E. Ewa, M.Sc, CFE, FCA
Mr Uket Ewa is the Managing Director and Chief Executive. Until his appointment as the managing director, he lectures in the department of Accountancy of Cross River University of Technology majoring on forensic accounting and corporate governance, investigation and public sector accounting. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is presently a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Associate Member of Certified Fraud Examiners of USA. He graduated from the University of Calabar were he obtained his bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Accounting. He served as the pioneer Bursar of Cross River University of Technology from November 2002 to November 2012. He single headedly prepared the accounting manual of the University and set up the accounting system in operation in the bursary department of the University. He has vast professional experience both in the private and public sectors having worked in the banking, manufacturing and consultancy sectors both in Nigeria and abroad.

Background

Crutech Consultancy Services Limited (CCSL) is incorporated as a consultancy and general contracting firm in August 28, 2009 with registration No. RC 841650. The company is established by the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), Calabar to tap on her abundant human capital resources in engineering, environmental and urban sciences, accountancy, agricultural extension and education. The company which is a multi-disciplinary integrated firm has brought together the various technical, academic and professional disciplines in the University. The Company has a team of seasoned academics and professionals with considerable expertise in contract administration and supervision, both traditional and modern techniques of manpower training and development, project implementation as well as financial and management consultancy. The core objective of CCSL is to optimise deliverables and ensure maximum client satisfaction, within the limits of available resources. The company strives to provide personalized and objective services to individual clients and handles every project, large or small, with a high degree of quality and efficiency.
With the present state of competitiveness in the economy, human capital deficiency in modern corporate management techniques, stringent budgetary controls and critical path time schedules, organizations to be competitive and relevant calls for robust training and service reorientation. Scope of Services

Architecture:
The robust department of Architecture enhances in the University CCSL to provide world class architectural services from feasibility studies, preliminary designs, working drawings, preparation of tender documents, tender analysis, and supervision, to completion and management of projects.

Urban Planning and Management:
The department of Urban and Regional Planning is equipped with faculty staff to handle various eco-system studies, environmental impact analysis (EIA) and urban planning advisory services.
The Company provides urban designs, urban renewal schemes, estate layouts, site plans, Site Reconnaissance surveys, etc. We are also experts in design and construction of hard and soft landscaping. The staff have been involved in various projects in the above fields.
In Planning, our services include Master planning; land use planning; urban planning; town and regional planning; cadastral and zoning maps; environmental planning; survey and mapping.

Project Management
CCSL staff have been involved in the design and supervision of a number of residential and public buildings in Nigeria and abroad. The Centre leverages on the equipment and facilities in the university faculty of engineering. The company is capable of executing turnkey contract services.
Other project management services offered include: preliminary studies and planning, design and plan approval, contract documentation, execution planning, construction management, feasibility studies, CAD and computer analysis, cost control and quantity surveying.

Engineering:
Our engineering services include Civil, Structural, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Sewage and Drainage, Infrastructure, Water Supply and Boreholes, Bridges and Marine Works.

Contract Administration
The Company is equipped with seasoned professionals to carry out the preparation of Bills of Quantities, Contract documentations, Tender Analysis and Tenders Evaluation services. In this era of good corporate governance where efficiency, effectiveness and economy are key in project conceptualisation and management, The burden of accountability and transparency is completely removed from the client.

Financial and Management Consultancy services
The company has seasoned resource personnel drawn from the faculties of education, management, agriculture, engineering, environmental sciences and sciences to handle manpower training and development in education, personnel training, finance and accounting and forestry resource management. The Centre resource personnel have been involved in the following manpower training in the state: 
(1) Training of Teachers
(2) Training of Local Government Council Staff
(3) Training of staff of the civil service commission
(4) Training of Forestry guard

Interiors and Exteriors
CCSL specialises in interior and exterior decoration of residential and public buildings. These include the interior of hotels, soft and hard furnishing of residential and public buildings, interior decoration of exhibition pavilions, shops, Restaurants, acoustics technology and supply, as well as installation of conference services equipment, illumination and lighting of both commercial and public buildings.

MANAGEMENT AND RESOURCE PERSONNEL

Engr. Ikpeme Okon Edide.
Engr. Ikpeme Okon Edide was born in November 1956. He graduated from Plymouth Polytechnic (Plymouth University) England in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 2004. He is a registered engineer (COREN) with registration No3895. He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Management and corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). Engineer Edide has a certification in engineering management of water supply schemes from National Water Resources Institute, Kaduna. He has vast experience in civil engineering design, supervision and water engineering having worked in the core civil service as Assistant Director, Rural Infrastructure with DFRRI to Director Civil with the Ministry of Works and then the University as Director of Works. He is presently the company Engineer. He has published widely in engineering and environmental sustainability. 

Patrick Oko Ogah, BL, LLB
Mr Patrick Oko Ogah, Esq is the company secretary. He is an erudite graduate of law and has practiced corporate law and administration for over a decade. He graduated from the University of Calabar in 1998 and the Nigerian Law School in 2002. He has a post graduate diploma in Public Administration. Mr Ogah has worked in various units of the Registry of Cross River University of Technology. Until his appointment as the company secretary, he was the Principal Assistant Registrar in the bursary department of the University responsible for the coordination of the administrative work of the bursary. He is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association, Member Nigeria Institute of Management and Member, NNUPA. 

Maurice Obua Egbaji 
Mr Maurice O Egbaji is a registered Quantity Surveyor (RQS). He is a graduate of Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos where he graduated with an HND in Quantity Survey in 1989. He got his professional certification in 2003. He has an MBA from the University of Calabar in 2001. Mr Egbaji is the Director of Physical Planning in the Cross River University of Technology. He has vast experience having been involved in the preparation of various bills of quantities and supervised various construction projects within the University, Cross River Ministry of Works and lectureship in the University.

Ibu C Ibu 
Surv. Ibu C Ibu is a registered Quantity Surveyor (RQS). He is a graduate of Dundee College of Technology (Abertay University), Scotland, United kingdom where he graduated with an HND in Quantity Survey in 1980. He got his professional certification in 1990. He has a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Calabar in 2010. He has vast experience having been involved in the preparation of various bills of quantities and supervised various construction projects in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

Arc. Dr. Ajah Ekpeni Obia.
Arc. Dr. Ajah Ekpeni Obia is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka . Arc. Obia qualified as an architect in 2012 with professional registration No F/2956. He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects with registration no M/2931. He got his doctoral degree from the University of Calabar in 2008. Dr Obia has vast experience having worked both in the private and public sector as consultant and academician. He is presently a lecturer in the department of Architecture in the Cross River University of Technology.

Engr. Friday Aje Ovat.
Engr. Friday Aje Ovat was born in June 1972. He graduated from The Polytechnic Calabar in 1998 with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, a post graduate diploma (PGD) in Mechanical Engineering (Production Engineering option) in 1998 and a Master degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from University of Uyo, Uyo in 2004. He is presently pursuing his doctoral degree in Engineering. He is a registered engineer (COREN) with registration No22,022. He is also a registered member of Nigerian Metallurgical Society (MNMS) with registration no C789 and Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers (MNimechE) with registration no 000615. He has vast experience in the private and the public sector mechanical engineering jobs and supervision having worked with UNICEM, Jabengo Nig Ltd and Cross River University of Technology as Mechanical Engineer and presently lecturer in Mechanical Engineering department.

Engr. Joseph Onah Ukpata
Engr. Joseph Onah Ukpata was born in March 1973. He graduated from the Polytechnic Calabar in 1999 with a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering (HND), a post graduate diploma (PGD) in Civil Engineering from River State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt in 2004 and a Master degree in Technical Structural Engineering from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt. He also has a master degree in Construction Project Management (M.Sc Construction Project Management) from University of Manchester, England. He is a registered engineer (COREN) with registration No16016. He is also a registered member of Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers with corporate membership registration no C01191, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Association of Project Management, UK, Institution of Civil Engineers, UK. He is also PRINCE2 Foundation certified (P2R/816021), UK. Engr. Ukpata has vast experience in both the private and the public sector having worked, supervised and designed various civil engineering and water/environmental sustainability projects in Nigeria. 

Mr. Emmanuel Effiong Ene
Mr. Emmanuel Effiong Ene was born In January 1952. He graduated from the The Polytechnic Calabar, Calabar with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering in 1979. Mr. Ene is an award winning engineer on Modular Electronic Power Station in Nigerian University Research and Development Fair 2004 edition. He has researched extensively on solar power engineering, development of VCDs on field, workshops and laboratory exercises. 

Kolawole Olamide Michael
Kolawole Olamide Michael was born in March 1988. He is a graduate of Computer Science from Cross River University of Technology, Calabar. He graduated with second class upper in 2012. He is a CISCO IT Essentials (PC Hardware and Software) graduate and Oracle Database Design and Programming with SQL graduate. Mr Michael has vast hands-off practical experience having worked on CRSG/IBM Partner Project with a team of IBM experts from USA on transfer of hard copy data to soft copy by making use of a pivot table in Microsoft Excel. He has also worked with Cross River State, Information and Communication Technology department on various preventive maintenance, scheduling, Website management and computer assembling and configuration. 

Davison Anthony Ebinne.
Davison Anthony Ebinne was born in September 1974. He has a National Diploma (Computer Repairs and Maintenance). He has attended various professional trainings including Database design and programming with SQL, Tramigo GPRS/GPS/GSM Car tracker etc. Mr. Ebinne has worked on various projects including managing and administering Internet/Wireless infrastructure computer networking and building of base stations, Access Points and Hot Spots etc.
